Friendship. From casual friends to close confidants we all have people who listen to us.

Recently a veteran Chicago Police Officer, took it upon himself to reach out to his friends with an eloquent email that expressed his feelings. He gave us permission to reprint his letter. We encourage you to consider copying his letter or writing your own to your friends.

Dear Friends and Family,

It is with great pleasure that I would like to tell you about a judicial candidate whom I endorse for the upcoming election. Laura Morask is a candidate for judge in the 12th judicial sub circuit which includes Park Ridge, Niles, Glenview, Elk Grove Village, DesPlaines, Northbrook, Northfield, Mt. Prospect, Arlington Hts, Glencoe, Kenilworth, Wilmette, and Winnetka.

Laura is a personal friend of mine and my family as well as longtime Park Ridge resident along with her husband and two teenage boys. Laura has dedicated herself to public service for the last 22 years as a State’s Attorney in the Special Prosecutions Unit prosecuting gang crimes, child molesters and serious class X felonies. She currently supervises the intake of all crimes that occur on the West Side of Chicago and trains dozens of young attorneys. Laura has a record-setting number of jury trials, as well as bench trials and an outstanding record of convictions.

Laura is also an elected official in Maine Township as a Trustee of the Main Township board. As a board member she has dedicated her service over the past six years to helping the senior citizens at the neighborhood watch meetings and running the National Night Out against Crime, as well as lectured and taught township residents in keeping our children safe from encroaching Gang members. Voting is a very important privilege in our country so please take the time to register and to vote to put Laura on the bench.
