Morask’s rise to a level of supervisor of the county’s Chicago West side gang crimes and senior sex crimes prosecutor staffs and her dedication to improving the justice system’s processing and investigation of these crimes, is outstanding evidence of her dedication and leadership skills.   Her jury trial experience of the last 21 years, her experience in Class X felony cases, and her experience dealing with some of the most serious criminal cases in Illinois in recent years, have given her unique and extensive insights into courtrooms and the life and responsibilities of judges. All of this leads the Journal to endorse Morask in this race.

The Chicago Tribune Voter Guide is now online.  Laura Morask’s 12th Judicial Sub circuit race in Cook County stacks up the candidates and gives you an understanding in their own words on why each candidate is qualified to be judge. (full text below)

“The Chicago Tribune Voter Guide provides voters a chance to understand my qualifications,  on many levels.  I always welcome the chance to meet people face to face and share with them the importance of Judges in our country.  I realize sometimes voters don’t have the chance to meet each candidate and the Tribune’s Voter Guide is a great resource for these voters.”

A recent face to face meeting with Laura was her Volunteer Breakfast.  It was a really great opportunity to talk with voters, and plan for the upcoming work towards the election.  Laura appreciates everyone who made it and was also happily surprised with how many people emailed support and how they will help in other ways.  Thanks everyone.  Every little bit helps.

Laura’s fourth Gang Awareness Seminar as part of her work with Maine Township and MaineStay Youth and Family Services was featured in the Chicago Tribune and chicagotribune.com.

The seminar will cover education of gang awareness and prevention.  Laura is planning an educational discussion on how to identify low-level gang activity.

It will be Wednesday, September 17th in the Maine Township Town Hall, 1700 Ballard Rd, Park Ridge.

Laura ventured out during the flooding and downpour to meet with Wheeling Township supporters.  She spoke to over 50  hardy attendees who braved the rain to meet the 8 new precinct captains and hear the speakers.  In addition to Laura Morask, candidate for the 12th Judicial sub-circuit of Cook County, other speakers were Tony Peraica, Matt Murphy, and Andy McKenna.

The biggest obstacle to attending the meeting were all the flooded intersections.  Immediately following the meeting Laura left to monitor Maine Township’s emergency situation due to flooding.  She worked with the township to declare a state of emergency to get county and state aid as quickly as possible.

We are now in the stretch run of the campaign season and the finish line is within view. That’s why we need your help and support. We are calling upon our friends to volunteer to help spread Laura’s message to all the voters throughout the 12th Judicial Subcircuit.

Fall Campaign Kick-Off!

After a busy and productive year of campaigning to provide Cook County citizens with the most qualified, experienced and knowledgeable Judge for the 12th Subcircuit, Laura won a hotly contested primary. We could not have done it without you.
